Duties: Ensure that systems are well maintained through the provision of application support Work with system partners to set priorities and execution sequence for enhancements and system support Daily monitoring of scheduled data and processing of batch jobs including reporting outcomes thereof Install and configure software and hardware to support business operations Manage network servers and technology tools Set up accounts and workstations for applications and technology tools Monitor performance and maintain systems health according to business requirements Troubleshoot issues and outages Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls Upgrade systems with new releases and models Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies Build an internal wiki technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies Ability to elicit requirements from Business & performing analysis work to draft specifications for software & business solutions Facilitating development workshops to ensure that the developers have a clear understanding of the requirements, including any technical details Ability to complete user acceptance testing, in conjunction with Business, to ensure the solution validation Requirements: NQF Level 5 (240 credits – level 8 framework) National Diploma in IT related field 3 – 4 yrs Solid knowledge of database structures, theories, principles, and practices including an depth knowledge and understanding of the leasing industry Analytical and problem-solving skills, applied to data domains Exposure and experience with data and system concepts such as: o Data & attribute mapping activities and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) practices o Entity relationship diagramming o Business intelligence and BI reporting frameworks o Data dictionaries and glossaries Data integration exposure, including data integration documentation and data testing activities throughout the integration lifecycle Clear understanding of the leasing business and knowledge of the leasing software
