Job Detail Position: Corporate Associate Manager Location Cape Town A leading global professional services firm (Investor Services), with South African bases in both Cape Town and Johannesburg, is seeking a Corporate Associate Manager to join their Cape Town division. Focusing on a combination of management accounting and Financial Statements review (including AFS Annual Financial Statements), you will work closely with clients to understand their needs and to provide exceptional customer service in an outsourced model. You will demonstrate strong all-round accounting experience, and be able to identify gaps in client processes – suggesting and implementing accounting improvements. Key experience in Collective Investment Schemes (CIS) or Pension Funds would be ideal. Management aspects of the role include making sure that the team meet deadlines, and the upskilling of junior staff, as well as AFS review and AFS updates. Key qualifications for Corporate Associate Manager: Recently qualified CA or new CA or non-CA with good experience Part-qualified CA (SA) i.e. completed SAICA training contract (articles) but 1 or no board exams 5 year’s post-degree relevant experience (including management in an accounting environment) Systems including; CaseWare, Pastel/Xero, SARS eFiling, and strong MS Office Technical knowledge including; IFRS, Tax, Regulatory reporting, Financial statements Managerial experience (can be incorporated within CA (SA) articles Advantageous: Any experience of CIS (Collective Investment Schemes) Any experience of an outsourced CFO Model Any experience of retirement funds Key personal skills for Corporate Associate Manager: Collaborative, effective communicator Customer-centric, hardworking, and reliable This is an urgent role that would suit a fully qualified CA (SA), a part-qualified CA (SA), or a BCom with plenty of relevant experience.
