Job Profile To provide strategic leadership for the NECSA Group to position it as a global leading provider of nuclear research, technology and products. The incumbent would be accountable to the NECSA Board of Directors for implementing the group strategy and ensuring the financial sustainability of the Group, fulfilling the legislated mandate of NECSA and meeting both workforce and public safety requirements by means of. Key Performance Areas • Ensuring high quality research outputs;• Driving experimental development, industrialization and commercialization of technology;• Identification of new business opportunities and partnerships locally and internationally, in particular positioning the Group to play a meaningful role in the forthcoming nuclear build programme;• Guiding corporate and product marketing locally and abroad, to strengthen the NECSA brand and to grow sales and research grant income;• Promoting strategic and mutually supportive relationships between NECSA and its subsidiary companies; • Ensuring alignment of subsidiaries strategies to the NECSA group strategy.• Ensuring a top quality nuclear licensing capability;• Ensuring globally benchmarked best practice in nuclear safety, security and safeguards;• Facilitating business and organizational transformation and innovation;• Developing and Driving NECSA Group strategic human resource management through the Development and implementation of human resources policies, programmes and strategies; • Promoting conditions for a healthy, learning and innovative organization able to function effectively in turbulent environment; Qualifications & Experience • A minimum requirement of a post graduate degree in either Engineering or Science. • An MBA/MBL is a desirable requirement for this position.• At least 15 years’ experience in technology focused organizations or companies.• At least 10 years’ management experience, including 5 years in an executive position.
